This blog is a great way for the airline to advertise while getting in touch with the costumers and aviation enthusiasts.

A very creative idea, congratulations!

It seems to be the sort of airline I would truly like to work for as a pilot (I'm a student pilot, yet).

Greetings from the Azores (Portugal).

Hi,

I'm very impatient to discover the Open Skies service between Paris and NYC (and also to get an idea of the prices).

Just an idea : you should translate this blog in French, because it will be one of your first market and it can be useful for a lot of people who don't speak English very well to get informations about your future services.

Good luck for the launch of Open Skies !

OK, what are the chances for an August CDG-JFK service? If low, please let me know so I can go ahead a book with someone else.

I'm a flight attendant for delta connection. i would like to see Open Skies airlines fly from Orlando to Paris, Amsterdam and Rome as our international airport in Orlando does not have point to point service to those European cities. that would be a dream for our European tourists who want the point to point service to get them to Disney! Lufthansa just started service in Orlando in October to Frankfurt...but we are still waiting for that non stop flight to Paris which we hope happens soon!

If the service is exceptional and business travellers can get from NYC to BRU or CDG quickly, it will be a success even if the airlines is called OpenSkies or what-have-you. What is going to matter is frequent-flier benefits and connections onward via other OneWorld partners or BA itself.

How about OpenSkies focuses one of its Hubs at Manchester, we've already seen BA consolidation at Heathrow and whether it be true or not rumours are abound that BA is scrapping MAN-JFK, this route is prime for an OS 757 and would be a fantastic addition rather than congested airports such as LHR, CDG.

Would be nice to see OS planes dotted around key airports in England(Manchester), Scotland(Aberdeen) and Wales (Cardiff). Cant say a 757 on select days would be a massive loss of profit....

Dale,

Fantastic video, a true insight into the birth of OpenSkies! Being one that loves detail, it would be great if you could share with us the specifics of the plane preping, including 1) gallons of paint used, 2) number of workman hours required...
