Hi Dale,

This is rather late, but I hope my question may still get answered. Essentially, I'd like to know exactly what Vinh asked. Are there any current plans to refit the l'Avion planes with the OpenSkies Biz Seat product?

Regards,

I'm disappointed that Open Skies no longer flies out of JFK. There are a lot of New Yorkers (non Manhattanites!) for whom JFK is a more reasonable alternative than Newark.

Please consider going back to JFK!

Hello,

i have flown quite a few time both in BizBed and BizSeat the EWR-ORY route. The product is really great and very flexible.

Therefore, we were used to be able to book Openskies flight within a global BA booking reference, including US internal flights, as well as booking openskies flight using BA Miles.

Now BA flight codes dont exist anymore for openskies... This is a real shame.

Also, this would be very interesting to have ORY-EWR-LAX or ORY-IAD-LAX flights. We definetly miss West coast flights !

Dear Mr. Moss,

What about considering EWR-LGW? It would provide easier access to London and the South. :-) Or perhaps you could try EWR-STN/LTN?

Thank you.

Best Regards,
Peter

Hello Dale,

I understand that we have to make the difference between "real OpenSkies Boeing 757" (layout: 24 Biz Beds + 40 Biz Seats) and the Boeing 757 from the former L'Avion airline taken over by OpenSkies.

Although the former B757 from L'Avion were retrofitted with the OpenSkies Biz Beds, the Biz Seats are still the old ones from L'Avion (not really comfortable) and obviously not the ones you exhibit here.

As a consequence, this is very misleading and confusing for the customer.

If you're travelling in Biz Bed cabin, there is no issue as they are the same on both types of aircrafts (although only 12 Biz Beds are available on former L'Avion B757 as opposed to 24).

Though, if you purchase a Biz Seat, depending on which Boeing 757 you fly, you can end up with either a wonderful product, eiher the crampy seat inherited from L'Avion with a lower pitch.

Do you plan to take any action about this?

Thanks for your answer.

My husband and I have flown your airline quite a few times. Last fall we were booked from JFK to Amsterdam, and you suspended that route. I would like to continue taking your flight EWR-ORY, but I am worried about the same thing happening. You were very kind to put us on BA to Amsterdam last year, business class. but it entailed another stop and we had to change our connecting flight at the last minute. Is there any guarantee that you would put us on business class on BA if you suspended your service, even if we were in Biz Seat class? Do you have an idea of the security of your service now?
Thank you,
Alice

I still don't understand why you won't consider an LAX-EWR segment. What a shame to only cater to the right side of the US.

Dale,

I was about to arrange for my first OpenSkies trip when AMS, my favorite airport, was dropped.

I understand your marketing and technical support issues and I hope that AMS will be restored in the future.

As a (nearby) alternative, how would BRU fit in your plans? It is an EU administrative hub with assorted customers and would undoubtedly still please your pharma customers and would give you the required support for the 757 needs as well.

Oh, I am trying to reroute via ORY; hope I'll make it.

Bon Courage!
